I purchased a used 2016 MirroCraft 1415 Outfitter earl June. Don Wigard was my salesman, and he was awesome. He addressed all of my concerns regarding the vessel and trailer without hesitation. The after-sale experience with Don was just as awesome. I had a concern with the outboard experiencing prop cavitation and the high RPM warning coming on in the outboard. I contacted Don explained what was going on, he reached out to the service manager for me. Don called me back with in 30 minutes told me that the service manager would be contacting me. The service manager I believe Jesse called me back the following morning(Saturday) I explained what was going on and that I had gone thru all of the trouble shooting and narrowed it down to the incorrect propeller had been installed when the original one was removed due to damage as part of your pre-trade inspection. Jesse stated that he would have to do further checking and would be calling me back, leaving me to believe he didn't believe what I was telling him. That evening Don called stated that they would be sending me a different prop and that it would be sent out on Monday. Well on Thursday Don called apologizing for the delay and stated that they contacted MirroCraft to confirm that the service dept. did infact put the wrong propeller on the outboard (which I knew this already simply by the cavitation and over RPM warning) and that I should have the replacement by Friday possibly Monday well I received it Early Friday morning. I installed the prop and had absolutely no issues with the performance of the boat or outboard. The cavitation was gone and no high RPM warning. Again, Don did an excellent job at taking care of my issues and getting them address. If Don is still there in 2030 when it is time for me to purchase my retirement boat, I will definitely be dealing with Don. I am however disappointed with the service dept. as this is not my first rodeo with owning a boat or the operation of an outboard. I would have appreciated that my diagnosis of the problem would have been taken more seriously rather than trying to prove me wrong. Overall my experience was awesome and a Thank you to Don Wigard for everything I am truly satisfied with my purchase.

I have nothing but the best to say about the purchase experience of my new boat at Spicer`s Boat City, starting with salesman Robert Perez, extremely helpful and it shows that he cares about the customer. Also Nicholas Payne from finance, who was able to reduce the interest rate initially offered by the bank and also found a manufacturer rebate of 2500 dollars. Also good job from the guys of Service Department on the orientation on my new boat.

I did a nation-wide search to find the exact make/model/configuration of a particular boat that I had been shopping for 4 years. Spicer's Boat City had a factory order in place for the only boat I could find exactly as I wanted it in the country. An internet inquiry led to a response from salesman Corbin Briggs that day, and the start of a remarkably easy cross-country remote purchase process. Corbin led me through the process and made sure I had all the options I wanted and answered all my questions expediently via phone and email. I never met Corbin until the day I arrived from a cross-country trip to pick up the boat, but he had everything under control, ready for my arrival/pickup, got me through the financial process, got me setup with Service Dept prep and truck hookup, and saw to it that I got on the road safely and quickly to bring the boat of my dreams back to my home lake in another state. We bought our first boat last summer (fiberglass), which in itself was a great experience. We are still learning the little nuances, and were having difficulty at the Houghton Lake DNR dock with a couple of items. Called into Spicer to get some help. Service was pretty busy, so we were on hold, but legitimate effort was made to try to get us to someone. While we were on hold, Brandon from Spicer's happened to be launching another boat, and was very eager to assist. He helped quickly to answer our rookie questions and we were on our way. Tom in parts went over and above the call of duty. I called him at 2:57 pm on New Years Eve for a part and didn't know they were closing in 3 minutes. I needed the part real bad for the New Years weekend and Tom waited until I could make it to hand deliver the part to me 20 minutes after work. Thanks Tom. That is great service.

Form Mark Gillis; in 2017 we purchesd a new Lund 1800 Tyee with a 115 hp Mercury motor. This year I noticed what I thought to be a problem with with the prop,I talked to Heather in the service dept. about this, and she assured me that all was normal with the prop and that movement that I noticed was the design of the Mercury enigeners but still insted that I bring the boat back to Spicers and have a mechanic inspect the unit. I followed Heather's advice and after my question was addressed,as in the past dealings with Heather my question was and my mind were put to rest. As always I will continue to deal her as well as Spicer's for ALL of my boating needs.

To say the least ,the service department is beond anything one could expect. I had a question about the way my prop fit my new mercury 115 pro ex. Hehther in the service department asured me that was the normal fit for that application but insisted that I bring the boat to the service department to haven it checked out,when I arrived she had a mechanic check the fit and was assured that is the correct fit for that prop. Again, Heather was correct and put my mind at ease. Her work and knowledge proved what an asset she is to spircers boat city. Another home run for her and spicers. Thank you so much. We were up at the cabin for vacation over the 4th of July. We needed some parts for our pontoon boat. We went in and spoke with Tess at the service counter. She was very friendly and helpful. She made sure we had what we needed to get our boat back on the water. And it wasn't just an easy "part swap." She was fantastic.
We also decided that, although we were going to fix our old pontoon, we would buy a used one that was on the lot. We worked with Shaw and he too was great. He answered all of our questions and helped in every way possible so that we could buy the pontoon and get it on the water the next day.
The financing end of it went well even though the regular associate, Mary, was gone that day. Her replacement (I apologize for not remembering your name!) was friendly and knowledgeable, and we were in and out of there in no time.
The person who worked in the service department, Zach I believe, took us through everything we needed to know about the use and maintenance, and all the cool new features. He knows his stuff about boats.
In addition to the people who helped us directly, the other associates in the store were very friendly. One of them walked by us and saw we were there waiting as the paper work was being processed, and brought us some bottles of water. (They also have popcorn!)
All around it was a good experience.
To be honest, it can appear that some of the workers there seem to be a smidge aloof. But after talking with them they all turned out to be very helpful and friendly. I'm sure I read them wrong and I'm glad I didn't react to my first impression. And, to be fair, it was a very busy time for them with lots of customers and they took their time to make sure all of my questions were answered. I mention this not as a criticism, just something I noticed.

After the sale was complete I was escorted out to the prep area where I was introduced to my new trail partner. The Ace was exactly as they said it would be over the phone. Purchasing this vehicle sight unseen was kind of scary to me but I was assured it would all go smooth... it did. The atmosphere at Spicer's is very friendly. They have everything you need for your outdoor fun. The staff for the gear and parts are likewise friendly and knowledgeable.
We have had the pleasure to work with Katie Stanley for our clothing, boots and helmets needs. She is a real pro at what she does. It's amazing how much she knows about all the gear and what products work best in different situations. She is also fun to work with and a very pleasant young lady.
Spicer's is also dog friendly which is convenient to be able to bring your dog with you if you don't live in the Houghton lake area.

Sara McGuire immediately followed up with the financing to make sure we would receive the best rates and lowest payment. When we finally got to Spicer's around 3PM Jack had the boat ready for inspection on the trailer. I assumed it was too late to take it out on the lake for a test run, Jack said not a problem! Rob walked up and introduced himself, explained how to get to the ramp on Houghton Lake and said he would meet us there. Once on the lake Rob was very professional and showed us everything we needed to know about Loading, Unloading, and maintaining our new boat. We spent rest of the test drive talking about how he made his way from New Zealand to Michigan. Once back at the store while waiting for Sara we asked the salesperson for help on picking out a life jacket for our granddaughter. Katie and Barbara Falls were on top of everything and made sure we had all the accessories and safety items required for our pontoon. We closed out the day with Sara who took the stress out of closing. All in All it was like we had walked in to a family reunion, everyone approached you with a smile and made you feel welcomed. We will definitely be customers for life, it's worth the drive!!!

Had a stern light issue with my 2022 Bennington 22LSB. Went in expecting to pay for a whole new mast/light. I was greeted by Patty Bechill in service who advised me that all she needed was the hull and it would be covered under Bennington's warranty.
This service adviser is very professional and knowledgeable. If I was still working, I'd try to steel her for my dealership. Best thing that happened to me this day was going to Spicer's Boat City, because of Patty's professionalism!
